Anna Bell Craig, 96, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, May 21, 2021, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born August 18, 1924, in Postal, daughter of the late Arthur and Carrie (Neitzert) Ford.
On August 24, 1940, in Sedalia, she married Oscar Otis Craig, who preceded her in death on July 15, 1993.
Anna was a member of East Sedalia Baptist Church. She worked for Lamy Manufacturing as a machine operator, retiring after 50-plus years.
She was a member of Bothwell Auxiliary and volunteered 6,700 hours working in the gift shop. She also made bonnets for the newborns at Bothwell for many years. She loved working in her yard, vegetable and flower gardens.
She is survived by a son, Ralph Craig (Carol), of Sedalia; two daughters, Zelpha Martin (Kenneth), of Kingsville, and Earlene Moore (Rick), of Smithton; a sister, Lorene Weatherby, of Sedalia; six grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by eight siblings, Goldie Sigler, Leonard Ford, Harl Ford, Hazel Bryant, Ellen Brosch, Virginia Salmons, Irene Petree and Cordelia Gerken; an infant son; and a granddaughter, Vanessa Taylor.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 24, 2021 at Heckart Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 2021 at the funeral home.
