Anna Mae Cain, 98, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Cedarhurst of Sedalia.
She was born October 12, 1924, in Sedalia, a daughter of the late Roy Ernest and Essie Pearl (Hall) Gerster. On May 23, 1948, in Sedalia, she married Robert Browneller Cain, who preceded her in death on September 18, 1985.
She is survived by three children, Lu Ann McConnell (George), of Joplin, Steve Cain (Dee), of Columbia, and Dr. Ruth Cain, of Overland Park, KS; four grandchildren, Rick McConnell (Nancy), of Parkville, Dr. Matthew Cain (Dr. Dawn Wendell), of Arlington, MA, Mallory Cain (Mike Nuttall), of San Francisco, CA, and Mackenzie Shepherd (Aaron), of Columbia; five great-grandchildren, Ian and Ewan McConnell, Theodore and Henry Cain, and Cain Shepherd.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lyda Taggart and Betty Murray.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
