Ashtyn Jade Gilstad
Ashtyn Jade Gilstad, 12, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at her home.
She was born March 8, 2010, in Bemidji, Minnesota, daughter of Paul Patrick Gilstad and Tara Lynn Schanding.
Ashtyn was a sixth grader at Smith-Cotton Junior High School. She enjoyed art of all kinds, including drawing, painting and coloring. She liked to play computer games and go roller skating. She was energetic, sassy and head-strong, but also loving and caring. Ashtyn was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are her father, Paul Gilstad, of the home; her mother, Tara Schanding, of Bemidji, Minnesota; a brother, Gage Gilstad; uncle and aunt, Dustin and Rebecca Gilstad; paternal grandfather, Paul, and paternal grandmother, Theresa; maternal grandfather, Walter, and paternal grandmother, Shirl.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family, in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
