B.J. Tegtmeyer
B.J. Tegtmeyer, 71, of La Monte, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018, at her home.
She was born February 13, 1947, in Marshall, Arkansas, daughter of Arlie and Evelyn (Church) Milam.
On August 13, 1981, in Sedalia, she married Marlin P. Tegtmeyer.
B.J. was a homemaker and helped her husband run the farm. Her hobbies included reading, sewing, and watching the Walking Dead and the Kansas City Chiefs. B.J. will be remembered as a loving, caring and giving person. Her grandkids were her pride and joy and she loved her dog Tessa. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ.
In addition to her husband, Marlin, survivors include two children, Cindy Berry (Craig), of Barnhart, MO, and Christopher Cook, of St. Louis, MO; her mother, Evelyn Rust, of Cassville, MO; three grandchildren, Nicole, Tanner and Landon; a sister, Deloris Earnhart (Carl), of Rogers, AR; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father; and a brother, Dwight Milam.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Pastor Cathy Jurgens officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Show-Me Christian Youth Home.
