Barbara Alice Boldt, 76, of Warsaw, passed away Friday, May 6, 2022 at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center in Sedalia.
She was born July 14, 1945, in Vancouver, WA, a daughter of the late Preston Troy Degraffenreid and Nellie Davenport Staab. On September 12, 1963, at Times Beach First Baptist Church, she was married to Terry Wayne Boldt, who survives of the home.
After raising her three children, Barbara worked as a seamstress at Eagle Industries in Fenton, MO, for 16 years.
She enjoyed bowling, sewing, cooking, word puzzles, spending time with family, spoiling her grandkids, volunteering at the Warsaw Senior Center and an occasional mimosa with breakfast – because it made her giggle.
In addition to her husband, Terry, Barbara is survived by three children, Tony (Michelle) Boldt, Jim (Angie) Boldt and Sheila (Alan) Schaffer; a sister, Wilma DeGraffenreid; a brother, Jimmie DeGraffenreid; and six grandchildren, Colin, Lauren and Meghan Boldt; Avery, Evan and Savannah Schaffer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee Roy DeGraffenreid and Howard Ray DeGraffenreid; and her step-dad, Pete Staab.
Barb will be remembered for her gentle and kind soul, her famous chicken and dumplings, laughing and giggling so hard she couldn’t breathe, and her fierce love for her family.
A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.
