Barbara Jean Beck, 84, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at her home.
She was born June 16, 1933, in Terre Haute, IN, the daughter of Arthur and Lena (West) Willan.
She was married to Junior Ray Beck, who preceded her in death on July 26, 2015.
Barbara was a waitress at the Coffee Pot Café for many years. She was a member of Emmett Avenue Baptist Church and really enjoyed going to church. She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She had a good sense of humor and often greeted people with a Minnie Pearl “Howdie!”
Surviving are two daughters, Pam Salmons (Charles), of Sedalia, and Tina Salmons (Donnie Ray), of Sedalia; five grandchildren, Charles Jr., Timothy, Danelle, Tabitha and Brenda; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister, Pauline, of Terre Haute, IN.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 23, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Pastor Harvey Pace officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
