Barbara J. Trelow

Barbara Jean Trelow, 81, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, June 28, 2019 at her home.

She was born June 25, 1938, in Kansas City, MO, a daughter of James Leonard and Dorothy Frances (Edwards) Rittman.  On June 10, 1956, at the home of her parents, she married Charles L. “Roy” Trelow who preceded her in death on October 2, 2004.

Barbara enjoyed fishing, camping, and had a passion for watching her birds, squirrels and rabbits in her yard as well as the pets that she had.

Survivors include, one son, Charles Trelow (Donna); one daughter, Debbie Douglas (Tim Stanfill) all of Sedalia; two grandchildren, Kimberly Douglas (Jeff Parton) and Bryan Young; five great-grandchildren, Madison McFarland, Natalie Bales, Payslee Parton, Tenlee Parton and Dakota Young.

In addition to both of her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by a grandson, Chris Douglas on November 6, 2002.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia, with burial to follow in Highland Sacred Gardens.

Casket bearers will be Tim Stanfill, Dakota Young, Dale Lindsey, Jeff Parton, Gary Eck, and Rusty Fisher.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral Home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Bethlehem Baptist Church or Cystic Fibrosis Association of Missouri.
