Betty Sue Ash, 80, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born April 25, 1933, in Sedalia, a daughter of Ernest C. and Nora J. Calvin Martin. On February 27, 1954 in Sedalia, she married Kenneth D. Ash, who preceded her in death on June 8, 1992.
Betty was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Telephone Pioneers. She enjoyed genealogy, all things historical, reading, crocheting and gardening.
She is survived by four children, Virginia “Ginger” S. Branneky (Cary), of St. Peters, MO, Daniel K. Ash (Cathy), of Hillsboro, MO, Margaret “Markie” A. Ash, of Lakewood, CO, and Kevin M. Ash, of Clinton, MO; two granddaughters, Abigail Brower and April Brower; three grandsons, Daniel Ash, Brendon Ash and Brooke Ash; one great-granddaughter, Calissa Scronce; a sister in-law, Mary Lou Behen; and a brother in-law, Robert Ash (Betty).
In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Castleman and Gloria Cassing.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.
