Robert Paul “Bob” Edgar, 88, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023, at his home.
He was born August 13, 1934, in Fort Scott, KS, a son of the late Charles Marion and Ruth (Enfield) Edgar.
He served his country honorably in the US Army.
Bob was a Union carpenter and member of the Mid-American Carpenters Regional Council. He was proud to be retired from the Union.
He attended First United Methodist Church. Bob enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, square dancing, and camping. He loved his family, especially his grandkids.
Survivors include a granddaughter, Stacy Edgar, and her husband, Donnie, of Green Ridge; two great-grandchildren, Steven Edgar and Grace Edgar; a daughter-in-law, Karen Williams, of Sedalia; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Rusty Edgar and Roger Edgar; and three brothers, Marion, James and Kenneth Edgar.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Heckart Funeral Home with Rev. Christopher Wiesner officiating.
Burial will be in Fort Scott National Cemetery, Fort Scott, KS at 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2023.
Memorial contributions are suggested to First United Methodist Church.
