Bobbie Eugene Dietzman Sr., 77, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday evening, September 19, 2015, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born October 19, 1937, in Sedalia, son of Charles Edward and Lillian Maude Burlingame Dietzman. On April 9, 1960, in Osceola, he married Katherine Marie Garrett.
Mr. Dietzman retired from Smithton Industries. On June 17, 2012, he was baptized and joined the church at Olive Branch Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, survivors include five children: Christina Brown (Gene), Jeff Dietzman (Maria), Becky Dietzman, Karen Vogan, all of Sedalia, and Todd Dietzman (Melissa), of Killeen, TX; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Patsy Vansell, of Sedalia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bobbie Dietzman, Jr.; and a brother, Donald Dietzman.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 24, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jason McClain and the Rev. Donnie Hayworth officiating.
Casket bearers will be Garrett Green, Roger Lindsey, Brad McNeeley, Bryson McNeeley, Marcus McNeeley, Tyler Fizer, Eric Bromegan and Duane Points. Stephen Lappat will be an honorary bearer.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, at Heckart Funeral Home.
