Bonnie Jo DeBates, 22, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017, near Sedalia, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born August 11, 1994, in Sedalia, the daughter of Donnie C. and Melissa J. Bozarth Hayworth. As an infant, she was dedicated to the Lord on April 30, 1995. She was baptized by Rev. Mike Winn at Olive Branch Baptist Church in May 2002.
Bonnie attended school in Otterville, Stover, Lighthouse Christian Academy and graduated from Smithton High School in 2013. She attended VoTech her junior and senior years and obtained a C.N.A.
On November 3, 2012, in Sedalia, she was married to Corey E. DeBates.
In March of 2016, Bonnie completed EMT schooling and was currently preparing for the National Registry Exam.
She was a loving mother of two. She laughed a lot and could easily bring a smile to someone’s face. She had a heart and compassion for people, especially those less fortunate. She loved hard, yet at times she could be a force to be reckoned with especially if you messed with the ones she loved.
Surviving are her husband, Corey, of the home; two children, Jonah Keith DeBates and Elvie Ann Hayworth, both of the home; her parents, Donnie and Missie Hayworth, of Sedalia; a sister, Emily Durrill, of Green Ridge; two brothers, Nicholas A. Lindenmeyer and J. Tyler Lindenmeyer, both of Sedalia; her paternal grandmother, Shirley Hayworth, of Sedalia; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Charles “Bill” Hayworth; maternal grandparents, Raymond Bozarth and Barbara Petree; and her mother-in-law, Kelly DeBates.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 27, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry Jones officiating.
Casket bearers will be Corey DeBates, Donnie Hayworth, Andy Pyle, Branden Thierfelder, Kevin Thierfelder, Clayton Thierfelder, Charles Lide and Andy Lide.
Honorary bearers will be Joey Whitlow, Kena Jeffrey, Kassie Lide, Michael Lewis, Lydia Antwiler, Ashley Heishman and Kayla Bain.
Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time Monday at Heckart Funeral Home.
