Bonnie J. Landreth

Bonnie Jean Landreth, 86, of Otterville, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Fair View Nursing Home, surrounded by her family.

She was born June 4, 1927, in California, MO, daughter of Earl Henry and Edith Lorine Speaker Gochenour. On May 18, 1946, in Sedalia, she married Lawrence Irvin Landreth, who preceded her in death on August 28, 2008.

She retired from Town & Country Shoes and later cooked at Pook’s Café in Otterville.

Bonnie loved her family more than anything and especially enjoyed the many fun family gatherings over the years. She enjoyed fishing and playing cards.

She was recently crowned 2014 Valentine Queen at Fair View Nursing Home, which she was very proud of. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Otterville.

Surviving are four children: Cheryl Page (Jerry), of Otterville, Ron Landreth, of Mexico, MO, Lanny Landreth, of Osceola, and Tammy Schoen (Randy), of Otterville; 11 grandchildren: Brian Landreth, Mindy Galvin, Cheri Gorrell, Julie Mateja, Michael Landreth, Macandy Brown, Jeff Page, Tori Schoen, Haley Landreth, Jacob Landreth and Natalie Schoen; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and two brothers, Donald Gochenour, of Otterville, and Jim Gochenour (Edna), of Slater.

In addition to her husband of 62 years, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Larry Don Landreth; a daughter-in-law, Jill Landreth; and a sister, Billye Ann Young.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday

at Heckart Funeral Home, with Jeff Page officiating.

Casket bearers will be Jerry Page, Randy Schoen, Brian Landreth, Michael Landreth, Jeff Page, Marc Mateja, Evan Gorrell,  Jacob Landreth and Mason Mateja.

Honorary bearers will Robert and Julie Landreth, Harry and Joan Wimer, Warren and Darlene Lewis, Harry Baker, Phyllis Robertson, Geneva Baslee, Marjorie Smith, Maxine Wertz, Mary Heineman and Elaine Eagle.

Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Otterville.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Heckart Funeral Home.
