Bonnie M. Bender, 81, of Sedalia, died Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Fair View Nursing Home.
She was born January 10, 1939, in Sedalia, a daughter of the late Ellis and Thelma (Brinker) Greer. She was married to William Bender, who preceded her in death in 1981.
Bonnie was a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing, playing Bingo and camping in her younger years, and more recently enjoyed going to the casinos.
She is survived by six children Cathy Aldrich, of Sedalia, Latrisha Jennings, of Florida, Clementine Bender Galvan, of Texas, Bonnie Bender Blake (Michael), of Arizona, Nancy Bender Jackson, of Sedalia and Billie Bender Massey, of Georgia; a sister, Connie Greer Ahnen (Denny), of Sedalia; ten grandchildren Beth Johnson, Chad Lobdell, George Davis, Dallas Waller, Daniel Keele, William Bender, Arissa Jackson, Tristen Jackson, Elisha Galvan and Olivia Galvan; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren Charles Davis and Renee Bender; two brothers Ronnie Greer and Allen Greer; and three sisters Patricia Simmons, Shirley Carwile and Linda Salmons.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to Crossroads Hospice in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.
