Cleo Clay Page, 90, of Overland Park, KS, died Friday, October 6, 2017, at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park.
He was born December 30, 1926, in Otterville, a son of Ira Mayfield Page and Etta Lorena Holman Page. On September 8, 1950, in Red Cloud, NE, he was married to Donna Pauline Langer, who died September 30, 2010.
Clay grew up in the Otterville area and graduated from Otterville High School. He served his country in the Merchant Marines during World War II, and was also drafted to serve stateside during the Korean War. He worked for Inland and Reno quarries in the Kansas City area. In retirement he worked as a school crossing guard. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting.
Surviving are a son, Kendall Page, of Overland Park; daughter-in-law, Linda Page, of Wasilla, AK; brother, Eldred Farrel “Bud” Page, of Albuquerque, NM; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James Page; and siblings, Ruby Sanders, Ruth Beck, Cassie Homan, Fern Baker, Jewell Page and Deo Page.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Jeff Page officiating.
Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Otterville.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
