Carol Sue Closser, 78, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at North Kansas City Hospital.
She was born April 14, 1945, in Springfield, daughter of John Henry and Delpha (Kelley) Stevens. She was married to John Closser.
Carol was a waitress at Maxine’s for several years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing, and she loved her grandkids. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Carol will be remembered for her kindness and consideration of others. We’re all going to miss her and we love her so much.
Surviving are her husband, John; three children, Sharron Stevens, of Kansas City, Pamela Lindblade, of Nixa, and Sean Burke, of Kansas City; seven grandchildren, Amber, Tasha, Vanessa, Jesse, Travis, Dakota and Nicholas; ten great-grandchildren; and siblings, Bobby Stevens, Joan Gibson, Bonnie Viles, Dennis Stevens and Debbie Bayes.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Monica Shepard; a brother, Michael Stevens; and a sister, Sharron Stevens.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Heckart Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
