Vincent Aurelius “Casey” Umbles, 53, of Lake of the Ozarks, formerly of Sedalia, passed away Friday, May 10, 2019, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

He was born October 30, 1965, in Sedalia, son of Sherman Buckner Sr. and Helen Joyce (Umbles) Hill.

Casey worked for Great Godfrey Daniels, The Westin and The Blue Heron restaurants. He was raised in the Baptist church. He Graduated from Smith-Cotton High School and Attended Northeast Missouri State University (Truman State University). He was an avid tennis player, he enjoyed running, walking, dancing and traveling. He was a carefree spirit who enjoyed people.

Surviving are six brothers: Kenny, Daryl, Reginald, Byron, Garlen and Sherman Jr.; eight sisters: Sharon, Rima, Verhonda, Tamara, Candace, Nicole, Debbie and Sandy; one aunt; two uncles; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and two brothers, John Thomas and Marlon Anthony.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 1 pm – 2:30 pm Friday, May 17, 2019, at Heckart Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery immediately following the service.
