Charlene V. Cline

In Loving Memory…

Charlene V. Cline, 97, of Sedalia, entered into the arms of the Lord at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday, December 24, 2013.

She was born June 22, 1916, in Hughesville, daughter of Charlie and Gertrude Harris Mitchell. On April 5, 1944, in Sedalia, she married Elziah Cline Sr., who preceded her in death on September 3, 2002.

Mrs. Cline was a member of Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church. She loved cooking and caring for her family.

Surviving are four children: Helen J. Hill, of Sedalia, Thomas Cline, of Sedalia, Scharlett Gravitt, of Columbia, and Gary Cline, of Sedalia; 37 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Elziah Cline Jr.; and two brothers, Nicholas Harris and Leon Mitchell.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 31, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Eldress Marla Facey and Deacon Reginald Umbles officiating.

Casket bearers will be grandsons.

Honorary bearers will be Helen Hill (daughter), Candace and Travis Williams, Sharon Umbles, Carolyn Cline, Phyllis Cline, Lawanda Rice, Robert Cline and wife, Isaac Cline and wife, and LaDonna Cruse.

Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time Tuesday at Heckart Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the family, in care of the funeral home.
