Charles Weston Cram
Charles Weston Cram, 85, of Sedalia, passed away peacefully at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center on June 7, 2017.
He was born in Lohrville, Calhoun County, Iowa on May 5, 1932, the son of Carroll J. and Naomi Grace (Cain) Cram. He grew up on farms in Lohrville and Corwith, Iowa. The latter farm was owned by his father.
On June 4, 1953, Weston was united in marriage to his wife, Florence, at the Methodist Church in Cedar Falls, Iowa. They were married 63 years before her passing on December 20, 2016.
He was a 1949 graduate of Corwith High School and received a B.A. degree from Iowa State Teachers College in 1953. After serving in the U.S. Army, he taught high school in Iowa for four years and then spent the next 40 years in social services work for the states of Iowa, Colorado and Missouri.
Weston was a loving, devoted and attentive husband and father.
He is survived by his sons, David Cram and John Cram, of Sedalia; a brother Myron Cram (Mariann), of Corwith, IA; a brother-in-law David A. Fay (Virginia), of Tallahassee, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Florence, Weston was preceded in death by a son, Paul Cram, in 2004.
There will be no services.
