Charles E. Meadows, Jr.

Charles Edward Meadows Jr. of Sedalia, passed away March 4, 2018, at his son’s home in Richmond, MO, surrounded by family. Mr. Meadows was born December 26, 1936, in Hermitage, MO, the son of Emmett E. and Bulah E. (Casey) Meadows.

On October 25, 1980, he was married to Judith (Judy) K. Randall in Sedalia, MO. Charles was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired after 20 years of service. He was also retired from Howard Construction Company where he had a 25 year career. Charles enjoyed working on classic vehicles and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include two daughters: Charlotte Burns and husband, Johnny, of Warsaw, and Charlene Meadows of Sedalia; a son, Charlie Meadows, and wife, Leanne, of Richmond, MO; 7 grandchildren, Nathan, Lauren, Malori, Scott, Brandon, Lisa and Tara, as well as 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Olena (Cox) Meadows.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, at Heckart Funeral Home. A military service will be held at 2:00 Thursday, March 8, at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville.
