Charlotte Ann Phillips, 84, of Smithton, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born November 21, 1932, in Sedalia, daughter of Lanny Paxton and Lois Mae Savage Paxton.
Charlotte worked at Rival Manufacturing for many years and later at the Sedalia Senior Center. She also volunteered as a patient advocate for nursing homes.
She was a member of Crossroads Family Worship Church of God.
She enjoyed rummage sales, fishing, traveling and spending time with her family. She especially loved her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a good-hearted woman.
Surviving are three children: Leonard Phillips (Sondra), of Smithton, Carl Phillips, of La Monte, and Dale Phillips (Sue), of Smithton; five grandchildren: Tammy Noller, Chris Phillips, C.J. Phillips, Casey Phillips and Stacy Holman; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Earl S. Paxton and Albert Spellmeyer; and two sisters, Ila Adair and Ardell Whisnant.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her previous husband, John L. Phillips; a great-granddaughter; and two brothers, Lloyd Paxton and Charlie Paxton.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 23, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Randell Baugus officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Heckart Funeral Home.
Burial will be at a later date in Mt. Herman Cemetery.
