In Loving Memory…
Cindy Kay Phillips, 54, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born August 6, 1959, in Sedalia, daughter of Elbert J. “Bud” and Dora Lee Twyman Phillips.
Cindy worked for more than 25 years at Interstate Studio. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School, VBS and Children’s Church. Cindy loved kids, playing board games with her family, singing karaoke and playing fantasy football. She was a big sports fan and especially liked the Cardinals. She was always for the underdog.
Surviving are four siblings: Debbie J. Phillips, of Sedalia, Steven J. Phillips (Colleen), of Warrensburg, Bonnie Sue Phillips and Tammy N. Phillips, both of Sedalia; and nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Tony L. Phillips.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at New Hope Baptist Church, with the Rev. Duane Duchesne officiating.
Casket bearers will be Bob Phillips, Ron Phillips, Mitchell Egner, Terry Pummill, Gerry Pummill, Keith Pummill and Bryan “Bear” Kuhlman.
Honorary bearers will be aunts, uncles and cousins.
Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery near Florence.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at Heckart Funeral Home.
