Clarence E. Hunter

Clarence Eugene Hunter, 58, of Sedalia, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015, at his home.

He was born December 21, 1956, is Sedalia, son to William Edward Hunter and Mary Ellen Weathers Hunter Wombles. He was married to Tammie Dillon Salmons and together they had two children.

Clarence worked as a paper carrier. He was a member of the Community of Christ. He enjoyed watching baseball and football, playing pool, taking his daughters shopping, and having holiday dinners.

He is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Schlobohm, and her husband, Norman, and Jennifer Hunter, both of Sedalia; one grandson, Johnathon Schlobohm; one granddaughter, Chevelle Schlobohm; one great-grandson, Zaiden Skaggs; his step-father, Alvin Wombles, of Sedalia; a brother, Eddie Hunter, of Sedalia; two sisters, Linda Rowe and Lola Dickerson, both of Sedalia; five nephews and three nieces, Roy Toliver, Kevin Toliver, Lynn Kroeger, Adam Hunter, Chris Hunter, Atriska Dillon, Melissa Hunter and David Curry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Dennis Hunter, Robert Hunter and David Hunter; and one sister, Joane Shoemaker.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 20, at the Community of Christ Church, with Elder Carol Barnes and Priest Albert Reine officiating.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Hunter, Norman Schlobohm, Roy Dillon, Burl Brown, Jimmy Brown and Charlie Schlobohm.

Honorary bears will be Sherry Holtcamp and Matthew Schlobohm.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 20, at the Community of Christ Church.

Burial will be at Highland Sacred Gardens.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.
