Claude Ernest Woolery, 83, of Sedalia, passed peacefully in his sleep on Monday, February 17, 2025.
He was born December 23, 1941, in Sedalia. He was the only child born to Claude F. and Ruth (Sampson) Woolery.
He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Sedalia for nearly 50 years.
On June 24, 1961 he was united in marriage to Agnes I. Offenburger.
He was baptized on June 8, 1975, at the Pomme de Terre river along with his wife. He was a dedicated husband and father who worked hard to provide a warm and loving home for his family. He enjoyed woodworking and helping others. He was a sentimental man and loved to reminisce with others. His firm belief in the Bible guided him in life. His strong faith in the resurrection hope provided much comfort for him. He eagerly anticipated life in the earthly paradise where he will be reunited with his loved ones. Psalm 37:10,11, 29.
He is survived by six children: Duane Woolery, of Harrisonville, MO; Russell Woolery, of Gladstone, MO, Brian Woolery and his wife, Tammy, of Sedalia, Michelle Roper and her husband, Matthew, of Licking, MO, Stephanie Woolery, of Springfield, MO, and Nathan Woolery, of Springfield, MO; ten grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Woolery, and his parents, Claude F. and Ruth Woolery.
The memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2810 E. Broadway, Sedalia, Missouri, at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2025.
