Clyde Ammon Masters, 85, of Warsaw, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022, at his home.
He was born March 31, 1936, in Cape Girardeau, son of Clyde Edward Masters and Ada Stella (Goss) Ryan.
On November 19, 1960, at St. Patrick Church in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Judy Lynn (Shults).
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he drove the church youth bus.
Clyde served a total of 20 years in the United States Air Force. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War and served in Greenland and North Africa
He worked for Rival Manufacturing for 25 years and enjoyed driving a school bus for five years for the Sedalia School District.
Clyde was a Boy Scout and Webelos leader. During that time, he earned the Order of the Arrow honor with the Boy Scouts.
He was a 50-year member and a Past Master of the Masonic Granite Lodge #272, Order of the Eastern Star and Sedalia White Shrine. He also belonged to VFW Post 2591. His hobbies included bowling and traveling.
In addition to his wife of 61 years, Judy, he is survived by two children, Dwayne Ammon Masters (Stephanie), of Sedalia, and Tracy Hull (Phil), of Maryville; two grandchildren, Amber Dawn Boles (Chad) and Skyler Ammon Todd; two great-grandchildren, Kynleigh Marie Boles and Henry Ammon Boles; and a sister, Frankie P. Brezinski, of Marinette, WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Rev. Ted Francis officiating.
Burial with full military honors will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
