Connie Elaine Welpman, 67, of Warsaw, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014, at her home.
She was born August 16, 1946, in California, MO, daughter of William Alfred and Violet Pearl Ferguson Birge. On March 3, 1962, in Camdenton, MO, she married William Welpman, who died earlier.
Mrs. Welpman was a member of Elks Lodge 2783 in Warsaw, the VFW Auxiliary in Lee’s Summit and the Ladies Shrine Club in Sedalia. She enjoyed sewing, dancing, cooking, listening to music, traveling, and loved being with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and best friend. She was loved by all.
Surviving are a son, Ronnie Welpman; two grandchildren, Camille King and Jacob Welpman; two great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Jordan King; a sister, Etta Hartley; two brothers, Keith Birge and Terry Birge; two step-sisters, Dolly Hayes and Donna Dolan; a step-brother, Jim McNulty; numerous nieces and nephews; and her significant other, Stanley Schierholz.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Birge; and a step-brother, Jacob McNulty.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Heckart Funeral Home, with Jeff Page officiating.
Burial will be in Providence Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time Thursday.
