Dale W. Rudd, 72, of Knob Noster, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
He was born August 29, 1940, in Marshall, son of Albert Stanley and Sylvia Mikle Rudd. On January 17, 1986, in Miami, OK, he married Katherine Monteer, who survives of the home.
Mr. Rudd was a carpenter at Whiteman Air Force Base. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He enjoyed square dancing, fishing, gardening and walking his dog.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Timothy Rudd, of Kansas City, Lyle Rudd, of Warrensburg, and Mike Rudd, of Kansas City; two daughters, Tonya Vandiver, of Sedalia, and Kelly Lairmore, of Columbia; eight grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Heckart Funeral Home, with Ed White officiating.
Casket bearers will be Doug Weller, Joe Arnold, Eric Harvey, Vince Buck, Bryan Jones and Gary Tucker.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time Saturday at Heckart Funeral Home.
