Danny Harrison Cope, 69, of Sedalia, died Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born September 6, 1948, in Joplin, son of Harry Harrison Cope and Virginia (Dugan) Cope.
On April 15, 1978, in Sedalia, he was married to Mary K. English.
Dan worked as a movie theater manager for many years. He rode, broke and trained horses and enjoyed crappie fishing. He had a great mind for trivia and facts, especially about movies. He loved his cat, Dorothy, and dog, Kate.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Mary, of the home; three brothers, Greg, of Omaha, Reggie, of Sedalia, and Jack, of Springfield; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gaylon.
According to Dan’s wishes, a BBQ will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.
