Darryl W. Berry, 61, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at his home.
He was born October 10, 1961, in Sedalia, a son of the late Donald and Gayle (Garrigus) Berry. On June 24, 1994, in Sedalia, he married Lora Gills Knox who survives of the home.
Darryl was a 1980 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. He was a member of Broadway Baptist Church. He was employed by Zephyr Manufacturing and worked as a lead machine operator.
In addition to his wife, Lora, survivors include a brother-in-law, Daniel Gills, of Sedalia; a sister-in -law, Julia Osbourn, of Mora; his niece and nephew, Jennifer Gibson (Trey) and Jeremiah Miller; Lora’s nieces and nephews, Katherine McNelly, Jon Burkey, Sarah Stubblefield (David) and Jacob Rumsey (Sara); six great-nieces and nephews, Emalea, Lucas, Naomi, Leslie, Kaed, Coen, and one on the way; and one great-great nephew, Kaden.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by siblings Teresa Donlon, Ronnie Berry and Lisa Marie Berry, who died in infancy; a brother-in-law, Lawrence Gills, Jr; two sisters-in-law, Joan Burkey and her husband, John Burkey and Martha Phillips and her husband, Paul Sprinkle; and his sister-in-law, Julia Osbourn’s husband, Don “Ozzy” Osbourn.
Graveside service will be 10:00 am Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Crown Hill Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Nicholas Grey officiating.
