David Blagden

David Lee Blagden, 37, of Sedalia, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at his home.

He was born May 4, 1978, in Iowa City, IA. David was a 1997 graduate of Otterville High School.

On March 2, 2012, in Sedalia, he married Pammy Stowell, who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Hayley Waters, David Blagden III, Skylar Blagden and Jaden Blagden; his mother, Carla J. (Massengale) Williams, of Sedalia; his step-father, Larry A. Williams, of Lincoln; his father, David L. Blagden Sr. of Grinnell, IA; a sister, Lynn “Skeeter” McDonald, of Sweet Springs; a half-brother, Nicholas Belcher, of Montezuma, IA; and his grandmother, Jean Massengale, of Sedalia.

David worked for Coreslab Structures in Marshall. He previously served as a volunteer firefighter, and was a member of Abundant Harvest Worship Center. He enjoyed everything sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs and NASCAR’s Tony Stewart.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 3, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Pastors Tony and Merry Kroeger officiating.

Honorary bearers will be Larry Williams, Michael McDonald, Chris Townlain, Jason Massengale, Mike Brucker, Alex Huddleston, James Huddleston, Steve Bybee and Gerald Huddleston.

Burial will be at a later date in Crown Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until service time Saturday at Heckart Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the family.

In honor of David, the family invites you to join them in wearing St. Louis Cardinal’s attire.

There will be a meal following services at Abundant Harvest Worship Center.
