Marshall

David James Roscher, 70, of Marshall, died Sunday morning, January 21, 2024, in the comfort of his home. He was a patriot, photographer, police officer, proud papa, and Post 558 member.

David was born February 3, 1953, in Saline County, to Lorene Lemler and Carl Roscher.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1971-1977, primarily as an M.P. He worked for M.P.D. from 1985 to 2013, when he retired from his position as the assistant chief of police. David also spent some time as a photographer for The Marshall Democrat-News and continued his passion for photography until he died.

He enjoyed supporting and honoring veterans as an active member of the Malta Bend Memorial Post 558. His greatest joy was spending time with his six grandchildren.
