In Loving Memory
David Wayne “Rosey” Verts, 58, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at his home.
He was born June 18, 1954, in Boonville, son of Charles T. and Helen Wilhelmina Haller Verts.
Rosey retired from Alcan Cable last month after 29 1/2 years. He was a machinist, fabricator and inventor. He raced motorcycles, was a member of the Freedom Road Riders and was nationally known for his knowledge of motorcycles and motors.
Surviving are a brother, Dale Verts, and his wife Candace, of Florence; and a sister, Djuana Osby, and her husband, Peer, of Lakewood, CO.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Daryl Verts.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 11, at Heckart Funeral Home, with P.C. Thomas officiating.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Sedalia D.A.R.E. Program.
