Dennis Lee Dawson, Sr.
Dennis Lee Dawson, Sr. 69, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born July 19, 1953 in Sedalia, MO, a son of Hubert and Virginia Sue (Wolfe) Dawson. On March 30, 1973 in Fall River, MA, he married Rita Shoemaker who survives of the home.
Dennis honorably served in the United States Navy and later in the National Guard. He enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs, Westerns, collecting knives, and fishing.
Dennis is survived by his wife Rita of 50 years, one daughter, Crystal Perkins (Curtis) of Columbia; one brother, Robert Dawson of Sedalia; two granddaughters, Lilly and Addy.
In addition to both of his parents Dennis was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Lee Dawson, Jr.
No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia.
