Dian M. Potter

Dian Mae Potter, 69, of Otterville, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Dian was born August 12, 1947, in Sedalia, the daughter of Lloyd Richard and Lula Mae Glenn Aldrich.

She was united in marriage to Raymond G. “Gary” Potter on May 15, 1966, in Sedalia.

Dian was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Otterville Presbyterian Church. She worked as a caregiver and also at K-Mart and Dollar General.

She enjoyed the outdoors, going to the races, country music, dancing, and playing dominoes at the Otterville Senior Center. She looked forward to having her hair done every week. In recent years she was known as Grandma to many.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Kevin Ray Potter and his wife, Kimberly, of Eudora, KS, and Kelly Richard Potter and B.J. Deshazer, of Otterville; six grandchildren, Kayla, Cody, Kory, Kelbie, Allison and Dylan; a great-grandson, Vincent; a sister, Shelley Ehlers, of Otterville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, at Otterville Presbyterian Church, with Jeff Page officiating.

Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Otterville.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, at Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia. Friends may also call after 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Otterville Presbyterian Church.
