Donald Ray Perry

Donald Ray Perry, 77, of Sedalia, passed away Monday, December 4, 2023 at Four Seasons Living Center.

He was born December 14, 1945, in Atascadero, CA, son of James Orville and Walsie (Barens) Perry.

Donald was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He studied agribusiness at the University of Texas. He served as a Scout leader in chapters 61 and 300. Donald coaches Little League baseball for six years. He served as commander of the VFW Post 2591.

Donald enjoyed playing the lottery, studying history, watching television, playing cards on the computer, shooting the breeze and telling stories. He loved to cook and share his culinary creations with his friends on Facebook. He had a notorious sweet-tooth.

Surviving are a son, Donny Perry; and three brothers, James Perry, Jesse Perry and Kenneth Perry.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joyce; and brother, Arvis.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Heckart Funeral Home with full military honors.

Pallbearers will be James Perry, Jesse Perry, Kenneth Perry, TJ Aslin, Brad Dillon and Patrick Perry.

Honorary bearers will be Garrett and Robyn Watson, Kelli Dawn, the Dick family, the Stock family, and “The Crew.”
