Donald Lloyd Rouse

Donald Lloyd Rouse, 60, of Sedalia, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at his home. 

He was born November 23, 1963 at Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base, a son of Edwin and Barbara (Good) Rouse. On September 23, 1993 in Buffalo Gap, TX he married Ethel "Maria" Stacy, who preceded him in death on December 1, 2015. 

Don honorably served in the United States Air Force retiring after 20 years of service with the rank of Technical Sergeant. After retirement from the Air Force Don worked for Ditzfeld Transfer for 20 years. He enjoyed many things from fishing, wood working, target shooting which he did at Base Outfitters in Warrensburg every week in a shooting league. Don was a hard worker. Even after his second retirement you could find him always working around the house on projects. Don especially loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren. 

Survivors include his mother, Barbara Rouse, of Abilene, TX; one brother, Edwin Rouse, Jr. (Carol) of Abilene, TX; two daughters, Charity Mumby (Brian) of Sedalia, MO, Faith Stacy of Sedalia, MO; three grandchildren, McKenna, Jennifer, and Christopher. 

Don was preceded in death by his father and his wife, Maria. 

Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Wounded Warriors Project and may be left in the care of Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia, MO.
