Donna E. Linhardt

Donna Earlene Linhardt passed away January 3, 2014, at the Lincoln Community Care Center in the loving arms of her family.

She was born to Earl and Bertha Comstock on September 15, 1932, in Syracuse, Missouri. On June 30, 1953, she married Ray Linhardt, and together they enjoyed a long and loving marriage and three daughters. He preceded her in death on April 29, 1991.

Donna Earlene was a strong Christian woman and will be remembered as a devoted wife and beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. All who knew her remember a kind and caring person with a ready smile. She was friendly to all and never met a stranger. She loved to be on the go and enjoyed memorable trips with family to Alaska and the Cayman Islands. She worked for many years at Inter-State Studio and after retiring did volunteer work for a local nursing home, Bothwell Hospital, her church and other organizations.

She is survived by three daughters, Rita White (John), Anita Sumner (Steve), and Cindy Snyder (Aric); eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Comstock, of Miami, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Marlin Brown officiating.

Casket bearers will be her grandsons: Gabe Sumner, Joshua Sumner, Aric Snyder Jr., Kevin White, Jordan Sumner, Dave Middleton, Adam Nashed and Jason Plumhoff.

Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time Tuesday at Heckart Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
