Donna Sue McCutchen, age 56, passed away peacefully May 24, 2016 at Life Care Center of Sparta, Tennessee. Confident in her faith and a life well lived, she was comforted in her final moments by her husband’s loving and compassionate words, “It’s okay to let go. The angels will carry you to Jesus.”
Donna was born February 21, 1960 to Earl Wayne Green, Sr. and Karen Suzanne “Cookie” Green.
On August 2, 1981, Donna was united in marriage to John Dean McCutchen at New Hope Baptist Church in Sedalia. Donna was an active member of the New Hope Community, participating in bible study, choir and Mission Friends children’s ministry.
Throughout her life, Donna loved painting, crafting and decorating. As a homemaker and mother, she lovingly mastered these arts and was known as the “Fun Mom” to her children’s friends. In addition to being a master of domestic craft, Donna was a connoisseur of purses, “B” movies, and classic television.
Donna loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, John D. McCutchen of Cookeville, TN; two children: Jill M. Wade (Kevin), of Sedalia, MO, and Sergeant John M. McCutchen (Kathrin) of Baumholder, Germany; four grandchildren: Maddox, Hannah, Jacob, Clara and one due November 6, 2016; two brothers: Jeffery W. Green (Amy), of Aurora, IL, and Patrick W. Green of Sedalia, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Earl Wayne Green, Jr.
Family, friends and others whose lives Donna touched are invited to Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. on Monday May 30, 2016 to reminisce and celebrate her life.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday May 31, 2016 at 11:30 am at Crown Hill Cemetery in Sedalia with the Rev. Duane Duchesne officiating.
