Doris Elaine Moon, 95, of Sedalia, passed away Friday June 25, 2021 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was born March 15, 1926, in Sedalia, daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Romig) Colaflower. On August 22, 1948, in Sedalia, she married Freddie Moon, who preceded her in death on October 23, 2009.
Doris was a 1945 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. She was a retail clerk for TG&Y and Fashion Crossroads until retirement. Her hobbies included quilting, gardening, jigsaw puzzles, square dancing and crafting. She enjoyed watching Chiefs football and auto racing.
Survivors include four sons, Monte Moon, and his wife, Pam, Garry Moon, and his wife, Donna, Dale Moon, and his wife, Cathy, and Larry Moon, all of Sedalia; nine grandchildren; and 19 great- grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Doris was preceded in death by her sister, Wilma Hodges.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Heckart Funeral Home with visitation at 1:00 p.m. until service time.
Pallbearers will be Monte Moon, Garry Moon, Dale Moon, Larry Moon, Justin Moon and Christopher Moon.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
