Ed Phillips

Edmund Earl Phillips, Jr., 84, of Rolla, MO, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Silverstone Place in Rolla.

He was born February 24, 1940, in Denver, CO, son of Edmund Earl and Myrtle (Holland) Phillips.

In 1980, in Albuquerque, NM, he was married to Ann (Murrell).

Ed was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1961 to 1964. He was a graduate of Colorado University-Boulder and worked for the United States Postal Service.

He enjoyed reading, studying, being outdoors, and kayaking. He loved his dogs.

Surviving are his wife, Ann; a son, Edmund Phillips, III, and wife, Brittney M., of Rolla; and two sisters, Lee Ellen Phillips, of Tulsa, OK, and Bea D. Holtz, of Littleton, CO.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, September 6, 2024, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia, MO.
