Edward Henry Parker, 96, of Sedalia, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg.
He was born September 9, 1925 in Sedalia, MO, a son of Robert Steven and Mary Ellen (Cochran) Parker.
Edward was a World War II veteran, where he was a gunner on a tank on the front lines. He retired as a maintenance worker for the capitol in Austin, TX. Before working in Texas, he drove a concrete truck for Smith Brothers in Raytown, MO. He worked several other jobs in between. He loved being around his family, visiting the boats, traveling, loved animals and caring for them, and exercising daily.
Surviving are a son, Randy E. Parker (Melissa); three daughters, Mary F. Parker, Sherrie Parker and Teresa Tyler; eight grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two brothers, Paul G. Parker (Beverly), Larry H. Parker (Brenda); and a half-sister Marie McGinnis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and four siblings, Gordon Parker, Betty Jean Craig, Richard E. Parker and Mary EmmaGene Medlin.
A private service with burial in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville will be held.
