Elinore Mae Lawson, 81, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
She was born July 25, 1940, in Sedalia, daughter of Roy Cecil and Ollie Lamantha (Hedrick) Lawson.
Elinore was a graduate of Versailles High School and attended college. She worked as a ward clerk for University of Missouri Hospital and Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She was a member of Community of Christ, where she was a Sunday School teacher and active choir member. She had volunteered as a foster grandparent at Washington School. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, and traveling with her nieces and nephews.
Surviving are ten nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Sarah Morris, Jenny Cornett, Dolly Naes, and an infant sister.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Heckart Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
