Elizabeth Louise “Liz” Lewis, 61, of Green Ridge, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022 at her home.
She was born September 10, 1960, in Sedalia, a daughter of the late Walter and Betty (Schutte) Dillon. On November 21, 1980, in Sedalia, she married Gary P. Lewis, who survives of the home.
Liz was a 1978 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School and attended State Fair Community College and CMSU. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church.
She worked as a lab technician at Lenscrafters for 32 years.
She was a hard worker and a devoted wife and mother. She and Gary enjoyed taking family camping trips in their early years. Liz also enjoyed spending time with her sisters and the “Pearle Girls” and “Lenscrafters Crew”.
In addition to her husband, Gary, she is survived by two children, Melissa Lewis, of Sedalia, and Geoffrey Lewis, of Houston, TX; six siblings, Helen St. Cin (Ed), of Pleasant Hope, Patrick Dillon (Chong), of Warrensburg, Calvin Dillon, Hannah Hebert (Ricky), Amy Bradley (Alvin), all of Sedalia, and Stephanie Dillon, of St. Louis; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter “Spud” Dillon and James Dillon.
A Celebration of Life will be 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2022 at the Heckart Family Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
