Elsie L. Allee

Elsie Louise Allee, 91, of Sedalia, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018, at Rest Haven Convalescent and Retirement Home.

She was born September 1, 1926, in Eldon, daughter of Samuel E. and Elsie M. (Peterson) Hosey. On September 14, 1946, in Kansas City, KS, she was married to Loyd F. Allee, who preceded her in death on February 4, 2006.

Elsie worked for Singer Sewing Machines, Town and Country Shoes, Montgomery Ward, Beall-Ladymon and Interstate Studios. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking, and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are a son, Loyd Stephen Allee and his wife Mellody, of Sedalia; two daughters, Deborah Louise Burkhardt and her husband Dave, of Independence, and Cynthia Lois Schnelle and her husband David, of Longwood, FL; five grandchildren, Joshua Christian Allee, Jana Christine Allee, Marcus Owen Schnelle, Jill Lynn Hager, and Diana Lynn Burkhardt; four great-grandchildren, Braden Allee, Adelynn Schnelle, Micah Schnelle and Raegan Hager; and a sister, Virginia Wyrick.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son; brother, Earl Hosey; half brother, Clarence Hosey; and half sister, Geneva Hartley.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 25, at Heckart Funeral Home.

Casket bearers will be Joshua Allee, Jana Allee, Marcus Schnelle, Braden Allee, David Schnelle and Dave Burkhardt.

Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
