Elsie L. “Pat” Mullins, 85, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022 at E.W. Thompson Health & Rehab Center.
She was born February 27, 1937, in Sedalia, the daughter of the late Albert and Mildred (Porter) Shackles. On October 1, 1966, in Otterville, she married Bobby J. Mullins who survives of the home.
In her early years, Pat worked as a licensed cosmetologist followed by work in assorted jobs. She then became a full-time homemaker, taking care of her family.
Her hobbies included vegetable and flower gardening and watching hummingbirds. In their younger years, she and Bob enjoyed taking motorcycle trips with friends.
In addition to her husband, Bob, survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Carver (Steve), of Lee’s Summit; two grandchildren, Whitney Meyer (Sean) and Cameron Carver (Maggie); and six great-grandchildren; and a brother, David Shackles (Mona). As a blended family, she helped raise Bob’s four children, Dennis Mullins (Deborah), Vicki Mullins (Chris), Becky Wooster (Rob) and Carla Hall; Bob’s 17 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her stepfather, C.W. Gordy; a brother, Leonard Shackles; and a son Rocky Moore.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Heckart Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Cameron Carver, Sean Meyer, Kent Shackles, Billy Wooldridge, Casey Mullins and Christopher Mullins.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of donor’s choice in care of the funeral home.
