Esther Edna Bremer, 85, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024, in Valencia, CA.
She was born on September 14, 1938, in Leavenworth, KS, a daughter of Dewey Lincoln and Esther Edna (Mischler) Bleam. On May 9, 1968, in St. Clair, MI, she married Marvin Earl Bremer, and he preceded her in death on August 8, 2012.
Esther was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Sedalia, where she would help cook meals for Wednesday night supper. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cats and butterflies. Esther grew up on a farm, and new the value of hard work. She enjoyed gardening and making her own clothes as well as making clothes for her family. Esther will always be remembered as the Pie Lady. She loved to make pies and would serve them with her meals at the Maple Leaf Tea Room. People would travel from all over to have a piece of her pie and food.
Survivors include, four children, Timothy Bremer of Pleasant Hill, MO; Thomas Bremer (Kathy) of Sedalia, MO, Elizabeth Hay (Chris) of Valencia, CA, and Christina McFauls (Todd) of Olivehurst, CA; one brother, John Bleam of Colorado Springs, CO; four grandchilidren, Salena McFauls, Elissa Hay, Connor Hay, and Chloe McFauls.
In addition to both of her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by six siblings, Wilbert Bleam, Rachel Sears, Edwin Bleam, Marvin Bleam, Donald Bleam, and Bill Bleam.
There are no service scheduled. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Highland Sacred Gardens in Sedalia.
