Fay Dey Anderson, 96, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at E.W. Thompson Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born February 23, 1925 in Sedalia, a daughter of the late Roy and Mamie (Yount) Nelson.
She was married to Clyde Dey and to this union was born one daughter, Phyllis Westmoreland. She later married N.J. “Andy” Anderson.
Fay worked and Town & Country Shoes for 30 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Phyllis & E.M. “Eddie” Westmoreland; grandchildren, Derek & Kathy Wasson, Chantay & Don Crews, Whitnee Treadway, Roger & Paula Westmoreland, Debbie & Bradley Dennis; great-grandchildren Brent, Ryan & Austin Wasson, Amanda Whatley, Michael Westmoreland, Tori Payne, Britnee & Brealee Treadway, Jeremy & Justin “Corky” Westmoreland, Jason, Allen & Scott Dennis, Jennifer Ballard-Ellis, Tara Tims, Danny Joe, Jr. & Jeffrey Westmoreland; 36 great-great grandchildren; and three great-great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands; a twin brother, Ray Nelson; brother Melvin Nelson; sisters Ada Nelson; and an infant sister, Annabelle Nelson; grandchildren Danny Joe Westmoreland, Peggy & Thomas Stark, Roger Dale Westmoreland, Jr., Joseph Westmoreland and Megan Payne; and loved one, David Wasson.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 23, 2021 at Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Shriners Hospital for Children in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
