Frank Sellers

Frank Sellers, 98, of Sedalia, died Friday, January 26, 2018, at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James.

He was born September 15, 1919, in Blue Lick, Saline County, MO, the son of Charles McElroy Sellers Jr. and Blanch May Walker Sellers.

On February 10, 1944, at the Fifth Street Methodist Church in Sedalia, he was married to Mary Margaret Dilthey, who preceded him in death on September 29, 2012.

Frank graduated from Marshall High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the 9

th

and 89

th

Infantry Divisions in Germany, receiving the Purple Heart. He was a farmer and also a feeds division manager for Cargill. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a son, Frank Kenton Sellers (Nancy), of Sedalia; a daughter, Marla Kay Tallman (Daniel), of Sedalia; and five grandchildren, Crystal Hardy, Kyle Sellers, Brittany Tallman, Taylor Tallman and Benjamin Tallman.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Leland Sellers; and sisters, Annabelle Renison and Ruth Jackson.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, at Memorial Park Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Army and VFW Post 2591.

Casket bearers will be Kent Sellers, Kyle Sellers, Daniel Tallman, Rusty Kahrs and Matt Kahrs.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at Heckart Funeral Home.
