Frank Waldo Dow, 72, of rural Hughesville, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020 at his home.
He was born February 16, 1948, in Sedalia, a son of the late Lee Ernest Dow, Sr. and Esther (Mittelhauser) Dow. On July 17, 1971, in Houstonia, he married Wanda Bales, who survives of the home.
He was a 1966 graduate of Northwest High School. He attended CMS earning a BS in ag business.
He was Methodist and attended Georgetown Methodist Church.
Frank farmed, was a crop insurance adjuster for Great American and Federal Crop Insurance and was a Program Administrator for Farm Service Agency (FSA). He also served on the county committee for FSA.
He was a sports and vintage car enthusiast. He was a tinkerer and maintained the vehicles and implements on the farm.
His grandkids were his world. To show his love, he built a park for them on the property.
In addition to his wife, Wanda, he is survived by three children, Lisa Michelle Britson (Danny), of Reno, NV, Crystal Adler (Matt), of Raymore, and Frank Kyle Dow, of Springfield, MO; a brother, William Roy Dow, of Georgetown; and four grandchildren, Drew Britson, Sophie Britson, Brody Adler and Barrett Adler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Lee Ernest Dow, Jr. and Ella Louise Kreisel; and an infant grandson, Liam Britson.
A private graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Kenny Cripe officiating. Pallbearers will be Danny Britson, Matthew Adler, Garett Reid, Jeff Mittelhauser, W.R. Dow and Kenny Combs.
Friends may pay their respects and sign the guest book on Monday, January 4, 2021 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Heckart Funeral Home.
