Gaylen Ray Crowe, 73, of Smithton, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
He was born March 5, 1951, in Chillicothe, son of Harold H. and Arolene A. (Jones) Crowe.
On October 10, 2000, Las Vegas, he married Lesa A. (Lane).
Gaylen worked for Maxion Wheels for 22 years before retiring and was currently working as a delivery driver for AutoZone. He had a love for the outdoors, enjoying activities like cutting wood, tinkering, hunting, fishing, golfing, and mini golfing. Gaylen also enjoyed playing Mahjong, solitaire, and staying connected with friends on Facebook. He enjoyed going to the races and in his younger years he raced sprint cars. He cherished spending time with his family. Gaylen will be remembered for his easy-going nature and strong will.
He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Lesa, of the home; two children, Jason Crowe (Brooke), of Chillicothe, and Jennifer Davis (Matt), of Carrollton; and six grandchildren, Noah, Emma, Micah, Kane, Leah, and Alli.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Herman Jones (Betty).
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Heckart Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time.
Inurnment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
