George “Burt” Leaver
George B. “Burt” Leaver, 81, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018, at his home.
He was born June 29, 1937 in Groton, NY, a son of Louis and Frances (French) Leaver.
Burt was a member of Broadway Baptist Church and had served in the United States Army. He enjoyed coin collecting, tinkering and fixing anything he could get his hands on and reminiscing about all the old cars he had at one time as well as going to as many cars shows as possible.
Survivors include his daughter, Crista Littlepage (Jeremiah) of Sedalia; one brother, William Leaver (Tina) of Groton, NY, and one sister, Katheryn Hornbeck of Arkansas.
In addition to both of his parents he was preceded in death by three siblings, Louis Leaver, Lillian Alpert and Elizabeth Smith.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Noon on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Broadway Baptist Church in Sedalia. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the family of Burt Leaver. Arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.
